The gates are back open at IMS. Fans are starting to file back in. But still no update on start times or when track drying will commence.

The Update from IMS President Doug Boles i. IMS Staff is also changing the rules and allowing fans to leave the Track and come back after the Rain has ended. This will allow fans to go back to their cars to take shelter from the storm.

Just got an update from IMS stating that they are going to make an announcement around 11:15 AM. This announcement could be to clear the stands. Below is the Radar Prediction for around 12:35 PM.

After looking closer into the storm radars here is the best prediction we can find for the rain hitting Downtown. This prediction shows the rain entering around 12:35 PM. If this prediction is correct, we may see the IndyCar Officials not even put the cars onto the Grid until after the rain ends. We will keep updating you as we learn more.

Every News Station in Indiana is watching the Radar as the start of the Indy 500 inches closer. Currently the storms are just crossing the state border, and the NWS is predicting the rain to hit downtown around 11:00 AM.
